I am aware of your love, but I cannot return it, that is all.

A young woman is desperate for fame and a way out. A young man pines for the woman of his dreams. A successful writer longs for achievement, while an actress fights the changing times.

Born from an online reading during the pandemic, Robert Tremayne’s adaptation of Chekhov’s story of ambition, love, loneliness and fame became the company’s first live production, staged in Brighton in August 2021.
